Veterinary Cancer Services

SERVING DENVER, fort collins, BOULDER AND SURROUNDING COLORADO AREAS, Veterinary Cancer services is a mobile oncology service that will travel to primary care veterinarian offices to treat patients within the comfort of their primary care office.

How this works

Booking

Primary care vets will book appointments for their patients using our booking system through our website. They will book a zoom consultation on Monday and then an in-person appointment on the day that their zip code aligns with. Veterinarians will email records to our email for discussion and plan making with the client. We will send clients zoom chat links. Requests for further diagnostic may be made prior to our visit at your clinic.

Video Call

Video calls will be to meet clients face to face. WE will discuss the disease process and the plan moving forward. Clients will pay for their appointment the Friday Prior to our discussion. Records will be evaluated prior to call that day. The video call will be had with the client and recommendations for further tests will be made to the primary care vet prior to our visit.

Vet Visit

The Visit to the veterinary clinic will be to pursue chemotherapy treatments as discussed in the appointment. We will make requests for ancillary diagnostics which should be performed prior to our visit. We will require a set of hands from every vet clinic and we will bring our own nurse to draw up and administer chemotherapy for each patient. Our nurse will collect patients gathering an up-to-date history. Physical exam will be conducted and we will proceed with the plan we discussed. If an in-person vet visit is necessary we will charge accordingly.

Medications

All medications will be prescribed from the primary care vet including, but not ecslusive for anti-nausea, anti-diarrhea, and other ancillary medications (mirtazapine, entyze, prednisone, antibiotics). Sedation drugs will be given from the bank of the primary care vet clinic. We will not travel with sedation. We will prescribe sedation protocols and write prescriptions for primary care vets to fill.

Billing

VCS bills to your clinic. Accounts are payable within 30 days.

In-Person appointment

In person appointments will be for cases that are out of remission or the physical exam is different from what we expected. If the plan needs to change we will visit with the client in-person but there will be a different charge for visits done with clients face to face.
